All About Me
I am Nikki. Forty. Psychology graduate. Primary school teacher. Currently single, which I say as a fact rather than a problem to be solved.
I grew up in Cheshunt and still go home for Sunday lunch, where the gravy is serious and the arguments are rarely about what they claim to be about. I kept the warmth and dropped the cartoon people expected. I like a well cut dress, a proper conversation, and rooms where nobody has to pretend they are simpler than they are.
I teach children for a living. That work has made me patient, exact, and difficult to impress with noise. The rest of my attention goes to writing. I have been doing that in public for five years now. Minds. Patterns. Loyalty. Desire. The gap between what people say they want and what they reach for when no one is marking them.
I have been married three times. I have loved well and badly and learned the difference the expensive way. I am a hopeless romantic with a trained eye, which is an inconvenient combination. I notice tone. I remember what you said three conversations ago. I recover.
If you are new here, start with the pieces that feel like a table you already know. I will meet you there. I do not do mysterious. I do honest, warm, and occasionally a little too direct.
